2018 Spring Writing Retreat: When Memory and Imagination Meet
March 21, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - March 25, 2018 @ 12:00 pm
Discover the creative energy and hope that rise when memory and imagination meet in your writing. Whether we write for our own eyes only or for other readers (and whether our words are fiction, memoir, poetry or otherwise), writing invites us to unwrap the gifts of both memory and imagination, seeing not only what has been and is now, but also the extraordinary possibilities of what might still come to pass with our creative engagement.
This writing retreat, for both experienced and emerging writers, includes: personal time for your own writing projects; optional daily guided writing sessions on the theme of memory and imagination; gentle qigong or tai ji to listen to your body; and daily circles and community meals for creative exchange with writing friends, new and old.
Together, we’ll share the gifts and challenges of the writing life, supported by the Christine Center’s generous hospitality, delicious and nourishing meals, peaceful natural setting, and opportunities for silent meditation and spiritual direction or unleashing creativity in the arts studio. Individual consultations with Karen can also be scheduled in advance (and for an additional fee) to share the spiritual journey of your writing or to discuss your writing process or projects, with or without a writing sample.
Save the dates now. Registration information, through the Christine Center, will be available soon.
